"I just wanted to take a few minutes and introduce myself and how the program has helped, me. While we all understand that this program provides over 250+ leads annually. It really comes down to how to work those leads.

We all understand that there is no real matrix on the success rate of being booked. There are things that I have found that have been incredibly successful. It is not surprising in the age of COVID and technology, the pay for speakers and appearances has been decreasing, and virtual opportunities have increased. I have made more money from the leads generated from my networking or negotiations with meeting planners than actual presentations.

For example, I did a virtual presentation (no pay) but got a list of the attendees. Long story short after following up on those leads, I was hired to be an independent expert on a project one of the attendees was working on. We just signed a $15,000.00 contract last week for that.


It is truly up to the person who is getting the leads how successful you are. You must work them. I work leads even if it is a rejection or something that is not pertinent to my topic. I catalog them try next year or next speaker session. I also look at other opportunities they may have.  Additionally, abstract topics are not as well as concrete topics. Topics that are, more concrete or applicable to the current global situation are being booked more often.
